OUR STORY
Mill Farm has been in our family since 1921.
In 1976 Judy and Robin Willmott moved in, then in 1986 the field next door was acquired, which is where Mill Farm Country Park is now situated, development began the following year.

The facility building was built using cobbles from the fields and a localy demolished farm building, the bricks are all second hand from a building near Burton Agnes, the windows came from a dismantled wooden warehouse in Hornsea.
All the outside paving slabs were second hand from Hornsea, the lamp posts, hay manger, bench, pot wash sinks and concreate fence posts down the centre of the field all came from local auctions.
The road edging, entrance wall and gate posts were build using the cobbles from the fields and the previously mentioned demolished farm building .
In 1993 we started our mixed tree planting scheme with the help of a woodland grant. We planted over 480 trees and 280 hedging plants,this has become part of our very popular farm walk.
We then reused the tree guards on the next tree plantations. where we planted 2000 trees and
870 mixed hedging plants.
In 2013 the shepherds hut was added to Mill Farm Country Park it was made by a local company using sheep's wool for insulation, some of the wooden fittings are made from the wood grown at
Mill Farm .
The Stainless steel on the table and splash back in the kitchenet is brand new, but had been made in the 1980s, the wheels and chassis are made from second hand materials we had sourced from auctions .

This was my first proper caravanning holiday. The site is lovely and well kept. The shower and toilet block is very clean and well lit. It is dog friendly which was important for us and their farm walk is perfect for dog walking. There is a great pub within walking distance which serves great food at reasonable prices and it is not far from Fraisethorpe beach which is fabulous for dog walking. I would definitely go back as it was a positive first caravanning experience.

Super site. Very well run and really sensible covid-risk mitigations in place (though some people seem to struggle to follow the most basic rule).
Really helpful and friendly hosts, super clean facilities and really peaceful. Good dog walk (though again, some seem to struggle with the walk across the road and instead use the "big" field, where the kids tend to play).
No decent phone reception - you can decide for yourself if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Also no play facilities for kids - but that means they have to use their imaginations to play.
Brilliant chippy at the end of the lane (be prepared for a queue), good shop in the village (excellent local bacon), and nice pub too.
Will definitely visit again.

What a delightful site. I arrived on foot with my little backpacking tent whilst on a long walk around the coast for charity. Judy, the site owner, could not have been more welcoming or helpful - tent-friendly sites for backpackers in the area are few and far between, and Judy searched ahead for me on my onward route and had plenty of advice about the cliffs and walks south from Skipsea.
The site was comfortable, spacious and well appointed with clean facilities. All I ever need is a few square feet of grass and a shower, so I was well satisfied. And it makes all the difference to have such a warm welcome. Thank you.

A lovely site walking distance from the little village of Skipsea
The grounds were very well kept and pitches were large and flat, toilet/shower block spotlessly clean.
Very covid secure with sanitizer available outside the shower block and disinfectant spray at all the outside water taps.
There is a large mainly empty field adjoining the site for the kids ball games ect and a long dog walk area owned by the site just across the road.
The Board Inn, was about 5 minutes walk away, family friendly served nice meals at a reasonable price and an ample garden.
You can walk along the narrow lane to the seafront, but unable to access the beach at that point A left turn and a good walk along the cliff tops to access the beach.
A good base for both Bridlington (10 miles) and one straight road into Hornsea the other direction (5 miles).
The only negative is the mobile signal is very poor to none existent most of the time.
We enjoyed our stay, the weather was fabulous, and will definitely visit this site again
